My Mission
I've been a believer all my life, but it always seemed like some sinful habits were causing a wedge between me and God. I am a dreamer with a great big heart, but I often followed my passions away from God. At one point, from heartbreak and anxiety, I found myself numbing the hurt with marijuana. I quickly developed codependency and addiction to it. Right before we got married, I decided I didn't want to bring this into our marriage. I surrendered everything to the Lord, and soon my husband and I got pregnant 2 months into marriage. Thus began the amazing sanctification process of motherhood and marriage. God transformed me little by little. I even surrendered this business over to him and took a big break to establish what matters first: my faith and my family. Now that I'm back, I want to honor God and dedicate this business to him by naming it Salt and Light.
My creative eye and ability to connect with others are all gifts from God. This is more than just a business to me. I pray over each session - the photos I take, that we will connect, and again after our session, for specific things, once I've gotten to know you along the way. I hope our time together can be impactful. So let's do this!

I'm Katrina!
I've always loved to take pictures - of nature, my friends, myself, and life! Before I started to create a business I was already capturing every moment and telling digital stories.
But they were mostly my own stories, now I'm passionate about capturing others. It truly brings me so much joy to shine a light on others and show them what I see through my lens.
As a South Florida photographer, I approach sessions by trying to get to know you, create an environment of laughter and ease, give you action prompt poses, and let your natural beauty shine!
I find unique engagement and elopement locations in South Florida and beyond. I help coordinate the entire thing from best time and place to shoot, what to wear and how to pose. I also always bring my carefree and goofy personality so please don't hold back yours! I want our sessions to be as genuine and authentic as possible.
